This sounds like it could be fun
Since individual games are not going to stretch out forever it sounds like something I can fit in and create a whole lot of mayhem along the way.

The relics are a nice idea and little addition to the game, they just need to give more subtle benefits rather than being able to alter the outcome of major events. Or you can cut the frequency of a relics appearance and beef them up in power, but then you get imbalancing effects where a player gets...

No it wouldn't, the phases are fixed and there's nothing in the game that I know of to trigger new ones being activated. Symbiots landing on B2 should have no effect beyond them being there. None of the units they have are 'stealth attack' (spies, etc) so they can't actually fight. But the AI will p...

The symbiots attack whatever is in front them
So if the imperial fleet took over a world and the symbiots managed to reach it they'd attack everything there too.

The game looks for the music on the CD and only on the CD. The best you could do is fool it with a virtual CD type application, though in my experience that doesn't always work (i.e. it doesn't play the right music track sometimes). Alternatively you can burn them as tracks 2+ with a near-empty data...

Hmm, you may be able to do that as part of your code hacks. Assuming the battlemaster trait is dealt with in one spot, something like: if(Battlemaster) unitarmour += 20; Which in assembly would be an add operation.
