You'll need WinG32 for the Holistic map editor. On Win 7 you need to put it in the Windows\SysWOW64 folder. With that in place, the map editor runs fine.

As for the other editor you mentioned, I don't know for sure; I just use a text editor myself.

The new link is two posts up from yours or in the first post of the thread. I'll remove the old links, though! Forgot about that before.

I could have sworn I reuploaded this after MegaUpload went down, but obviously not. Sorry about the long delay, folks! Download here This is the same as the last release from 2009. The next version needs testing and rebalancing since the empty planets are now mostly populated, but it'll be finished ...

Strange. The one registry file worked automatically for me and also covered both EFS folders I tried. I didn't do a test with Reality, but I don't see why that would cause trouble. Did the new folder for it work?

I've not heard of that particular error before, but I just copied one of my EFS folders over to my Win 7 x64 rig and used the registry info posted in this thread. Works fine now!

Hope that helps.

Which tech gets which code number is actually quite simple, though not immediately obvious. With "Nothing" as 0 and "Microbiology" as 1, the tech numbers increase sequentially right down the list. Thus, the following examples: Cyberpilot: 9 Barren Environment: 20 Fusion Cannon: 5...

A long time indeed. Life's just about the same for me. You? Progress on the mod has been slow for the past few months, due to a low level of interest in EFS on my part. Now it's a matter of waiting until my interest resurfaces, which could be a few weeks or several months away! I might consider rele...

Fair enough. I suppose I'm just used to a frosty Delphi from vanilla EFS.

Very nice. I like the close attention to detail; you even followed the desert/moist dividers on Istakhr. However, shouldn't Delphi have less green temperate area (apart from the volcanic zone)? Seems a bit much to me, at least.

Looking forward to trying your mod when you release it.

EDIT - dead links removed, see first post for new link.

Still plugging away at the next release whenever I'm in the modding mood. Should be a significant improvement over the current version.

Just reviewed the survey maps. I don't think I've even looked at the one for Istakhr before; I never realized the massive difference between that and the EFS version. Delphi isn't as bad, though there are the obvious differences. The main problem with EFS is that the small size of the maps makes it ...

Always an excellent idea. I've done the same for a number of planets, though some only needed minor tweaking in my opinion. Off the top of my head, I think Tethys required the most work of the planets I changed; that took a while. Might I inquire as to the nature of your mod? Or are you unwilling to...

It's another unused item as far as I know. Units can only ever attack another from an adjacent hex, apart from orbital bombardment.

Also, welcome to the forum! Always good to see another modder around.
