Ah, my mistake. I haven't seen those such maps on any sites either, I'm afraid, but those aren't too hard to get. Edit - Maps ready. The game doesn't list the text with resources or cities when it saves these maps, but the icons are easily recognizable. The maps are each 1662 x 1260 pixels, so all t...

I haven't seen any sites that show them, but most of the listings in the RPG books include maps with the planet details. The books going over the Fiefs are the ones you'd want for the Known Worlds. Other worlds can be found in the Star Crusade books. If I spot maps on a site somewhere, I'll drop a l...

Welcome to the forum!
I just downloaded the latest version of Hyperion from here without any problems. Is this the same place you tried downloading from?

Most sea units are buildable from the start of the game, so they probably choose those over the weaker tanks and such. I've already been planning on removing the subs from AI use, but like you noticed, they build a lot of ships. Also note that engineers require a lot of metal: 100 to be exact, more ...

Yeah, universal warehouse immediately kills any resource problems as soon as you get any of the ministries, which is why I recommend leaving it off. The AI always has universal warehouse on for itself, so the on/off switch only works for players. The map indeed has issues. I mentioned somewhere that...

The link is the latest version of the mod, but you might have missed the edit that gave the link to an updated galaxy map, which you can find in the full download now. Check first post. If you already have the updated map, I plan on releasing another one in the near future. The new one includes a la...

I'm back in the EFS mood sooner than I expected, so I'm working on the next update. Current planned inclusions are as follows: 1. Serious map update. Though I released an updated map in the post above, it was a quick fix at best. The next version will see modified unit selections across the Known Wo...

There's a page on the Nova site about Escape From Earth, in case you haven't seen it before. I don't know much else about the scenario itself, though.
You can try contacting Richard through that email address on the front page of the Nova site, but I don't know if it's still valid.

The AI is incompetent no matter how you look at it. You're probably better off just ignoring it if you want the mod to be specifically multiplayer, else you'll probably have to make some sacrifices for the AI to cooperate. I gave inquitors extremely powerful stats, perhaps too powerful. On the other...

I meant to try the NA demo at some point, but I never actually did. I'll grab it and see if I can get it to run properly on XP. I'll let you know how it goes! Edit: Well, I just launched the demo. I set up a character, my ship, and went into the game. I didn't have any problems at all! I'm not going...

Some good points. I personally enjoy the present struggle for food, but then I also know where all the rebels are holed up, which removes some of the challenge! :x I usually do a lot of food buying from the League, which obviously drains my funds pretty quickly. I tend to counteract this by selling ...

Looks like we're all in the same age bracket with similar interests. How could I forget Age of Wonders? I've only played Shadow Magic so far, but have 1 and 2 as well. Indie games can be great. Wesnoth is fun, but I can't stand it when my units keep swinging at enemies and fail to hit! Those dice ro...

I'm in favor of a semi-random method. This allows a measure of unpredictability, but doesn't subject the players to the aggravation of a random dice generator. Back when I played Wesnoth, I was absolutely infuriated when units would constantly attack a target and never hit because of some dice rolle...
