I have obtained a copy of the EFS Editor and the EFS unit Editor designed by Mitchell Baldwin Maciej Swierzewski and Matt Caspermeyer. I e-mailed them and Maciej kindly sent me a copy! it seems much better and stable then the beta editor. If you want a copy e-mail me at Enx_@hotmail.com.
i have not used it very long, so i am unsure of what all it can do. I think its main purpose is allow easier viewing and editing of the data files

if posssible, then please for me too a copy ... http://www.kborek.cz/official/contact.html
Hey guys, i have sent our the editor to everyone in this thread. If i missed you please contact me at my e-mail (enx_@hotmail.com). Keep in mind i have trouble sending to G-mail (the size i assume) and get a return to sender. also, there are 2 editors a unit editor and a data file editor. If you missed the unit editor it is only 500kb and i will send it. I was only sending the 5.3meg editor at first, but thought i would throw the "lesser" (i assume) editor in aswell.
I would love to here any thoughts on the 2 editors, i have not played much withthem and could use some insight on what they can accomplish.
any response would be great ! thanks.

SETUP Issue
Needed to find a WINGZ.DLL to get it to work(I'm on a Windows 7 32 machine).
TESTING Issues
So far I've tried to add another planet and one jump pt. They get saved in the database but I can't get the map to identify/see them when I generate the galaxy.gal file and dat files. Not sure what I'm doing wrong yet.
I have generated a test galaxy.gal and associated files it seem to miss 3 files. I just copied in from a saved copy of the originals.
RELICS.DAT
TRAITS.DAT
UNITRULZ.DAT
I tried loading a galaxy by using a galaxy.gal file but I kept pulling a file error.
I can certainly load and look at files but the ability to modify an existing galaxy in a strategic manner with the tools provided seem to be beyond my meager mentality at this point.
Debating trying an actual Win95 machine vs Windows 7 and see if the WINGZ.DLL issue has an impact.

Wings is a file needed for the holistic (?) editor.... i will reference the orginal editors mapedit.txt file.

Requirements:
-------------
Assuming that you are already running Emperor of the Fading Suns, you
should only need ONE thing -- And that's WING from Microsoft. Using
your favorite web browser, you can download WING from the following
location:
ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/Softlib/MSLFILES/WING10.EXE
Follow the installation procedures from Microsoft and then you can run
the map editor.
This has only been tested on Windows '95. I don't even know if WING
works under Windows NT, so NT users, please be careful.

I assume that the new editor must use this file to process some EFS files.

Garison,
I am fairly new to the site, but a long time observer. I just picked up a new copy of EFS and I would like to see if I could get a copy of the editor as well. I would have written you sooner, but I have been overseas for over a year. I sent you an e-mail via hotmail using my hotmail account. Thanks again.
