Problems with mapeditor

Postby Maur13 » Sat Feb 08, 2003 2:06 pm

This is probably something simple, but i don't know what to do...

I've used editor with good effect for some time, but for few weeks, i can't get it to work-when i try to start it, it says that i lack required file .DLL WING32.DLL

I reinstalled the editor, i can't remember deleting any system files... dunno what hapenned.

And i have few nice ideas about new maps/scenarios.

Try reinstalling WinG. I got mine in a zip file with the editor, so I dont know where to get it. But I can send mine to you if you dont have it anywhere.

You need to put it into windows/system and only there.

This is for 98, but it should be similar in other versions.

In windows explorer:
1. Select the folder you want to see hidden files in
2. View Menu > Folder Options > View Tab
3. The should be a bit near the top that looks kinda like this:
Hidden Files
Option one
Option two
Option three
4. Select the option that says show all files and hit ok
"There are some who call me........Tim" - Tim the Enchanter
"I think I'm funny, but I'm not" - me
"May you live in interesting time" - Anchient Chinese Curse
