Updated version of EFS Dat Editors is avilable

Postby Maciej Swierzewski » Wed Aug 15, 2001 3:50 pm

Hello

I have updated my EFS Dat Files Editor. Some bugs are fixed but the coolest thing is that it can now convert BIN files to BMP files and thanks to Deathifier BMP to BIN.

Please look on the Klaus WebPage at _. These addresses should be soon available (max in few days).

Bye

I would also love to get my hands on this new editor. If someone could post a link to the age it is on, that should work and we can DL from the site. Just an idea.

Something needs to be done with this link, I tried all 3 and I can't get it. Let me know where it is and how to get it, please. This would be a very nice tool if I could get my hands on it.

Someone help please

I just downloaded the editor and it tells me that me Kernel32.dll is not responding right with the editor. Let me know how to fix it please, the Bin to Bmp and back would be very helpful.

What Windows you are using - Maciej developed it before XP was out.

From the readme.txt:

Please remember that this program is created for Mitchell Baldwin EFS Editor and will not run without it installed. It also needs BDE (Borland Database Engine) which is installed with EFS Editor.

Possible available here .

Sorry to say, i got it not running also now :-(. Maciej, please take look into it.

To summarise what you need to get:

First, the EFS Editor:
http://www.twarriors.com/~hyperion/efseditor.html

Then the dat files editor:
http://www.kborek.cz/forum/EFS%20Dat%20Editors%20v2_1.zip

Install the EFS Editor first, install the DAT Files editor next and bingo - done.

Actually using the editor might be a little tricky, but fiddle with it enough and eventually it generates or finds the files needed.

It works quite fine on Win2k, from memory it also worked fine on Win98 SE. Not sure about XP, however I don't think *that* much changed between 2k and XP that would affect the editors.

i wonder what happened to maciej's post. is ultimatebb censoring this board and removing links it deems illegal or something?

No, one of the moderators probably removed the links because they were broken - just part of 'housekeeping'.
