this BB gives me too much work, so i willbe installing and try to convert all old msgs into a new forum. Keep a eye open here, to see what happens to your username.

done, now the export did work somehow, get yourself familiar with it. Usernames seems to work with the old passwords, only some messages lost their authors..

Observations:

Some avatar image limitations have to be set, I was able to put a monstrous 400x400 px avatar who showed in all my messages in real size, and it was not the maximum size. 100x100px is a standard modern avatar size and should be fine. Also I'd recommend limiting avatar memory size to restrict animated ones. If not, it would be possible to put 100x100 px animated gifs with huge amounts of frames which could be pretty heavy, that would produce total shutdown for users browsing the forum. Mmm, I think 200Kb would be ok.

And the worst part is the forum default color scheme =)...
Just let me know if you need any suggestions or icons, title banners, images, backgrounds, or anything else. I'd be happy to make them for the community and would not take long.

i need to put it only on a higher priority for myself, or making you also admin and you can handle those colours. the image i would like to have back too, it was not a fast thing in UBB, the same here.

Just passed through the phpBB official themes, some are pretty good. I really liked:

It would be good to try to use one of those and then alter them changing some colors and adding different title image... To make something like this by yourself is a real hell, well... at least that's my own experience.

P.S. Hmm... have just found a bug: if you add an url with an error, a space for ex., neither this url nor any other below the one with the error will appear as links in the message.

Also, do you know how to add a normal link with the innerHTML text without turning posts HTML on? Because the only option I see now is to show the same url you make link to as text. The good thing is that you always know where link goes just looking at it, but it looks too ugly sometimes (just a stupid complain ).

Good to see the move went through fairly smoothly.

Apart from some of the posts lacking their original authors, the threads are all jumbled around with no regards to the last post date. Any simple method of sorting the dates? Gets a little confusing while browsing.

Somehow i missed some options, and did not read through the documentation. ANd yes, was happy how it worked.

The msgs are getting sorted when a timeframe is selected, trying to set one as default.

Btw I'm not a moderator of General Stuff forum any more ether. Some persmissions are missing I think, because I saw me being moderator just after the migration and I see me now as an admin also, but no real permissions or extra options, neither of a moderator nor of an admin.

This is what I've made today for the RedSilver theme you've put by default. The real image is in the center, 770x100, you can see 2 dim marks by the top showing its limits. I'll make it 740x100 to fit 800x600 screen resolution when the final version would come. And the rest is a background tile image. For now I'm just asking if you like it, or how was you imagining a title image for the forum...

Ah, almost forgot. For now the only thing I changed was Table Row Colour 2 set to #e3dcd3 - even posts background color, because posts were hard to distinguish visually.

wow that's some background. Not too much out there or distracting, just setting the theme in the background like it should.
