EFS Intro video

Postby Bromley » Sat Apr 24, 2004 1:09 am

I have this (god only know where I downloaded it from). I've seen it in all it's glory before.

However, I've since reinstalled windows and updated. So my Windows media player (9 now, 7 before) now plays the sound only (Error downloading codec).

Anyone know what's going on here?

They are in bink format, and you can play them through the SMACKPLW.EXE file in the EFS directory.

Or you can download the latest version of radtools, it has a player included.

Thanks. Mine's actually an avi, but I think it must be corrupted. I tried converting it to bink but no joy. No big problem though.

Someones already tried to convert it then and may have used a codec you don't have (DivX?).

If you can find out what codec was used you can get it!

Spot on, thanks. I'm sure that previous versions of WMP used to flash up the codec ID, but v9 hides it (okay, it turns the filename red and sticks a sodding great exclamation mark next to it, so it's not really hidden :) ).

Seeing as I've been begging for music in another post, anyone who wants the file post an email address. Two caveats: It's 20 MB and this version has Russian subtitles.

Anyone with the file who can't get it to play, the DivX codec is here. There's a free basic version link under the table.

Scratch that. I did a test mail to myself and the mail was too large to send.

On the plus side, this has forced me to figure out how to upload to the webspace that I've been given by my ISP. Click on the link here to download it (20MB warning).

Good news! neogamer's site is back up and the downloads are working. You need to get to his EFS page and click on the downloads from there (the one on the homepage is broken).

Two kinds of intro video, although the smallest is still 45 MB. Also the end videos and all the music (well, I've not tested all of the links yet, but here's hoping).

Thanks Boris/Andrey.
