Progress on the mod has been slow for the past few months, due to a low level of interest in EFS on my part. Now it's a matter of waiting until my interest resurfaces, which could be a few weeks or several months away! I might consider releasing the current build at some point, though it had a few nasty bugs as I recall.

I don't check this forum anymore, sorry. I almost finished a mod of my own which was fairly working but then dropped the ball, a pity as it was rather done and complete, sorry people.
I don't know if Eightballmaniac is still around too...

Sorry to hear that madrigal! That could've been a rare jewel, as I told Eightball once about his own project. He said he would wait for his interest to rise again but would probably be months. I still check in from time to time, his ideas were quite promising.

Well, I was not far from being done... Among novelties, all starting planets were reworked quite a lot
perhaps during summer I can take a final look and release it... The main problem I saw is that the AI is really difficult to steer in the right direction, often lost in doing meaningless things... but well, the mod I did is of greater challenges that basic version anyway.

I could have sworn I reuploaded this after MegaUpload went down, but obviously not. Sorry about the long delay, folks!
This is the same as the last release from 2009. The next version needs testing and rebalancing since the empty planets are now mostly populated, but it'll be finished eventually.
