And for now...

What is the stealth for stealth units? Are they completly unspottable, like Raider SS, or just more hard to spot?

I especially like DropShip and Infiltrator ideas.

I'm curious if Infiltrator SS is stealth one? It could be even three-stages unit: (some early tech)-foot inflitrator, upgradable at (some early SS tech)-infiltrator SS, upgradable at (Discontinuity, or another tech like Raider SS)-Infiltrator stealth SS.

While i think input units are unnecesary micromanagement, in such cases, they are nice addition to special units.

Tranport ideas (Air and Land) are nice too, though hard to say if they are balanced without seeing their costs and such ;)

One thing about RPD. IMO, it would be better not to simply add 6 movement points, but instead double their movement allowance. As it stands now, it makes movement of RPD units almost the same, which i think isn't that good. Marauder moving almost as fast as Special Forces....

Though i admit 32 movement points for RPD Hover scout might be a bit much:D

I also noticed that RPD artillery unit icons (and some other mech) doesn't have increased movement. Is this intentional?

Just realized one thing. If infiltrator ship is going to be disbanded on enemy planet, it's effectively stranded, which could or could not be intentional. If not, the only way i can think of to fix it would be stealth cargo ship, perhaps infiltrator ship itself. Though the medicine would be worse that disease, stealth cargo ship is terrible thing. (well, just load plague bomb, and detonate it in the main city complex. Whole planet goes down the drain)

Which means Stealth transports can be used in that way, too.

The whole idea about stealth ship is tricky. Space is indeed vast, but it's one of the limitation of the game, the fact that it doesn't differ between near orbit of outskirs of solar systems.

OTOH, the only way to enter a system is through jumpgate. Which means, even Raider Stealthship actually should be there, as there is no possible way to get into system guarded even by one measly ship, if it monitors jumpgate.

But RS are such fun! ;)

Though they are balanced by the fact they can't stand up to even small size starfleet.

They are the best with escape from earth scenario, btw. Lots of empty systems, usually unguarded, make them real menace to unescorted transports.

Stealth ground units are another matter. Well, in original EFS there was Wraith Stealth Tank, so everything is possible ;)

Oh, i just realized there IS a way to make infiltrator to be able to leave enemy planet again.

Just make it even longer unit sequence.

Infiltrator unit-Infiltrator Space ship- Inf. Unit 2 (same as before) - Inf SS 2.

This way, if you disband Inf unit 2, you get space ship, and leave the planet, to get to your home city and get money for more tickets ;)

Tedious way, though. And slots might be limited too.

I'll give it a run through single-player, don't quite have the time for another PBEM :(
