Werewolf,

As long as all agree, I see no issue with changing the Church Sect once.

Any issues?

Map101CA,

The key to playing Dalmatia and Hawkwood is getting a foot hold on another planet to clollect food. Your Homeworld is pretty bad.

Setting up a food transfer from a captured Arborium on BZ2 is one good way to approach the problem.

What problems were you having with invading a planet, and which one did you invade?

One Key to EFS is to attack with stacks of near 20 units. 10 Medium Tanks in this mod can be quit formidible as well.

macedonia, it was the foot units (ie: atlas) the rebles had. But that's what I ment by having to change tatics (ie: higher attack vs foot, units). I went in with lots of tanks, and air but they didn't have the effect I wanted so I had to build new armies to counter the foot units.
As for the food transfer, I figured that out right away, and took all arbs on b2, but did get prodution up to a level on my home world to feed all no problem (470 some odd), with farms only (no arbs, need tech yet). Which brings me to my last change in tactics: labs, I deffinently need more the 1.

All in all, I really look forward to this game and will putter thought relentlessly.

All hail, the mighty Dalmatia Empire...lol

Werwolf,

Can you resend the .sav file to me. The one you sent me had some sort of virus attached. Please forward an uninfected copy.

I'm not sure what to do here. Werwolf has sent me the turn 4 times and I'm encountering the same problem - every time I load it my computer crashes.

According to the read me instructions I've set the folder up correctly so I'm not sure what the problem is. Could someone other than Werwolf send me a turn to see if it loads? I think the problem isn't on my end here but I want to make sure.

Okay, I've found the problem and fixed it. Sorry Wolf it was on my end not yours. :o

Unfortunately it's now 1:40 a.m. and I have to work in the morning. If you all don't mind I'll crank the turn out tomorrow and we'll be rolling.

My sincere apologies for the problem/delay

Tib

By the way I noticed in testing the Hazat turn that traits are pre-set. I was under the impression that we were going with +8 points.
Generally when we go with that plan the traits should be set to easy so that any number of positive traits can be selected. I think I can still work it since a lot of positive traits were already selected just thought I'd point out the situation.

I assume I can alter the traits as I desire so long as it comports with the Traits balancing rules.

It seems my lap top is having trouble sending my mail

I'v fiddled with the settings quite a bit but I can't seem to get my mail to go. I worked last night so I'm assuming that my mail server is down at the moment. I'll keep attempting to get the turn out to Map.

I can receive mail so feel free to send comments

I don't have enough points to pick my traits.
We are suppose to get 8 points, correct?
I'm 3 points short, and I don't want to have to pick a negitive trait. After all, house Dalmatia has enough against it.
How did everyone else pick thier traits? The only person who stated thiers, was Shocker.

***Edit***
Never mind, I was forgeting some of the values of certain traits.

**Traits Taken**
Noble Scholars__+4
Enlighten Nobility__+1
Warrior Ethic__+3
Administration__+1
3 Ancient Documents__(+1+1+1=)+3
Inbreeding__-/+0
Distain Trade__-4
Enemy in League__-/+0

Shouldn't have to take 2 of these, but needed extra points.

Tiberius,

I'll fix the traits in the ini.
Thanks for noting the problem.
You can choose anything as long as it adds up to 8. I set it up so you would have to take negative traits if you went after lots of positive traits.
It is not wide open on purpose.

PS: 1:40am That's dedication. Thanks for the extra effort. We all appreciate it.

Map,

The heavy Mechs in this game are brutal.
They carve up both tread and foot units pretty effectively.

When you get heavier tanks and Imperal Walkers (AT-AT) they can go toe to toe with the Heavy Mechs.

You should read the Nova articles about how to mix units. If you create some "fodder" units like infantry and militia, you can absorb losses cheaply while still letting your more effective units deliver their payload.

FYI, I also ported this patch to the Fulcrum Map that Tiberius created. I have not played it beyond 10 turns yet.

I am looking to port it to Corith and a few others as time permits, but Hyperion has more units which creates a few time consuming issues.

Will be fun to see what happens, another ShockRoman game broke out into intergalactic war not long ago ;)

map101ca: As the Dalmatia player in the aforementioned game I strongly suggest you expand quickly!
