I just have to vent some steam about some the aliens in FS...what better place then here.<P>he Shantor have to be one of the most ill-conceived aliens ever...B-movies from Ed Wood have come up with ideas backed with more grey matter.<P>Horses...horses that are sentient.<P>Horses that battle with each other using spears in their mouths..alright....<P>However did they make the spears in the first place? Maybe spear-grass grew to the size of trees on Shantor planets...<P>Supposedly they use muzzle tool kits for high precision craftsmanship...whereever did they get those from? Humans? I can buy that..but then your back to spear-trees.<P>Humans mount them with cannon backs and such...utterly stupifying.<P>If anyone has used these Shantor in RPGs with any success...PLEASE let me know about it...so I am no longer disenchanted with them.
