Zyuil'Thala - Last Fansite

Postby cy387_lk » Wed Sep 01, 2004 3:56 am

Hi
Mabe nobody knew that since I've never post a singe message in this section: I'm finished FS Universe fan, and have all FS books in PDFs (hope someday to have original ones :) )

I think everyone here has read FS: War in the Heavens - Hegemony (who hasn't, ask me and I'll make it happen ;) ). I really don't know why Vau is my favourite race in the FS Universe. But this spring I decided to create an FS/EFS fansite - maybe last one half-related to EFS strategy game. I was surprised how many EFS fans know nothing about FS books and concept stuff. And this site I dedicate to the Vau: their hystory, culture, social structure, politics, technology, etc. Under this theme I was thinking to give to a newbie to the FS Universe some info about FS and Vau race, and maybe make somekind of library of possible FS stories written by FS fans.

The site is in pre-Alpha state. You can check some test work following this link: http://neogamer.dynalias.com:280/vau/yurimzho.html

Yes, I know it looks not very seroius, it's just a pre-Alpha I made in 8 hours last weekend. I suppose I'm not the last art/web designer in this world and I'm seriously planning to move this site to a "commercial website" level, in graphics design meaning only. It will be 1000% free and always open website for all FS/EFS fans, which I'm going to register officially in Internet as soon as I'd have something real.

I've already spoken personally with two people from this forum and they recommended me to ask for help right here. Actually I'm offering to participate in creation of this new website. Any ideas, writings, and concept text stuff (pictures too) will be greatly appriciated. Also I need someone to make a shortened version of complete Vau hystory from the book. Of course I'm not going to violate HDI's rights, just wanted to use their books and put lots of quotes. Please, anyone who cares about FS help me, I can't do that alone. ;)

I own the physical book but I don't want to spoil myself yet ... I like to keep some mystery ;) . I'm saving it for a rainy day at the summer house.

As I am by profession an editor, I'd be happy to help with editing any text before it goes up. Same goes for any such project.

I must admit that I've never read it.
Enemies strengthen you.
Allies weaken.
I tell you this in the hope that it will help you understand why I act as I do in full knowledge that great forces accumulate in my Empire but with one wish--the wish to destroy me.

I've neever read War in the Heavens - Hegemony
But I have bought many FS books (all Spanish edition):
-Basic book (only 1st edition, 2nd edition isn't available here in Spain)
-Gamemasters Screen
-Players Companion
-Forbiden Lore
-Priests of the Celestial Sun (no "Lords & Priest" edition here in Spain)
-Legions of the Empire
-Imperial Survey Series (quite strange the Spanish Edition 2 books: no 4 books as first USA edition or 1 as the 2nd USA edition)

And all of them were quite interesting, in my opinion

Sorry people, tons of projects, had no time to reinstall the server. I'm here, alive =), just finished configuring this damn thing and the website is up again, just with different URL (www.vau.ontalstudios.com) - hehe, finally have bought a domain... I was planning to revive all downloads again but have no idea when, so probably by Christmass, when I'd have less work, something like that. Also the site still needs some work (all the vau info stuff, etc.) With the server I own now which is pretty stable (Gentoo rulez =) ) I hoped to correct my bad fame I made during last 2 years until now... Will post a notification if anything changes.

Regards
