Fading Suns: Noble Armada Lives on!

Postby Deathifier » Mon Jun 17, 2002 11:29 am

In a stroke of shear luck (ie remembering to check on the Noble Armada site) it would seem that the game has finally escaped it's black-hole status and will be released sometime later this year or early next year.

The old noblearmada.com site has magically lost all its content however the main holistic design site has a "Special Annoucement" which seems to have been posted only 2/3 days ago (the 15th) and points people at:

http://www.matrixgames.com/games/noblearmada/main.asp

So go take a look, and cross your fingers that it doesn't hit any more brick walls before it's released!

Thanks for the heads up, the forum just appeared to Matrix Games.

Good news, indeed. Several other fantastic classics have found shelter (and a publisher albeit games only available from net) in Matrix Games :)

Yea, can't wait. I hope it's got multiplayer capabilities, and that many players from the EFS community will play that game as well. Your great rival becomes emperor? Blast him in Noble Armada! ;)

I wonder how long holistic has kept it secret?

Those look great. Let's hope more EFS fans take notice.

Russel: They've obviously kept it secret until a few days ago :)

I've not seen or heard anything, anywhere about progress on the game except some hints on the old forums that it was still in development.

Ugh! "Real Time Strategy" - the foulest oxymoron ever coined.

Hehe, I don't quite agree that last. Certainly there are good real-time strategy games too so the situation is not that hopeless. Mentioning a few which you may or may not like... Close Combat, Age of Empires, Warcraft, Shogun: Total War, Warhammer(s), Stronghold (oldie), Starships Unlimited.

I don't think I got them all :) .

And nobody likes the million brainless clones, that's so true ...
