Tech levels

I haven't been able to acquire the Fading Suns RPG rulebook so I only have a vague idea about the tech levels in the game. Could somebody with the aforementioned book or some other suitable source briefly outline what the different tech levels represent, please?

tech level era example
0 stone age flint dagger
1 medieval swords, wagons
2 renaissance gunpowder
3 victorian electricity
4 mid-20th/fs era aircraft, computer
5 diaspora spacecraft,ceramsteel
6 early 2nd rep. starships,adv. comput
7 2nd republic shields,robots
8 vautech/late 2nd terraform, adv. ai
9 lesser urtech soul shard
10 urtech jumpgate
