Anyone developing a graphics mod?

Brilliant gameplay but the graphics are crying out for enhancing and updating in a mod. Anybody thinking of that?

Ideally, a new updated reissue would be best but with the dumbed down content of most space games these days as shooters, I don't think we can hope for that.
