I was wondering if anyone knew how to break the Video Segment from the beginning of the game out to watch separately and independent of the CD? I am on a self-imposed quest to draw the really cool(in my opinion)ships from the game. As a reward for helping me get my referrence material for the illustrations I will post my drawings here free for all to use in any web design, wallpaper or whatever. Oh yeah I am a graphic designer and just might turn out some pretty cool stuff! Here is a sneak peak at the Cadiz Class Dreadnought I've almost finished.
Cadiz Dreadnought Documentorim!
Thanks for any help in advance!

Re: EFS Movie at beginning of the Game
Ok, here it is, the separate intro movie in DivX format, 800x600 or 300x200. Just one thing, wait for 4 hours after this post, and it'll be there... Enjoy it =)

WOW nice site cy387_lk! Did you model those two ships yourself? They are very impressive, almost exactly like the David Sweets ships from the game.

Thanks for the links the video looks great just like I remembered it and there is a ton of detail that I can still pull from it! You da Man...er um you da VAU! A collaboration you say sounds like fun PM me and let me know what you have in mind.
Well as I promised, it's still not finished but here is a glimpse of the Cadiz as it will look when completed.

Tnx for the link. Quite interesting website, never seen these works before...
Well mine were made for a commercial poster so I didn't need that detail level. If you're interested that's my old personal page with the portfolio of somekind... It's outdated but it gives some general imression I suppose.

Ah a Renaissance Man! Well I have to admit I might normally feel a little humbled by such an excellent list of notworthy skill sets that is of course only if I had any training myself. I must compliment you for the outstanding format in which you layed everything out very, very professional. Three Languages!!! Most impressive!!!
I really got to do the website thing myself once I finish my time with my current employer.

Re: EFS Movie at beginning of the Game
hehe, nice pics, very nice..., my compliments too I always had problems with people faces, you seems don't have any...
Anyways... the work I was talking about is Hyperion Unit pictures... The community would be most appreciated with some more of them, and lately I was thinking to make some new ones... So maybe if you had some time for it you also could make few. It's all up to you, just letting you know of the things here...
The current status of Hyperion Units:
- Matt made a unit pack where he put 89 new animated unit pictures generally based on the original animations adding some protection fields, colors and invisibility effects.
- I made another 34 pictures with just 4 of them animated, all using my own design; you probably have seen them on the Zyuil'Thala website.
- Also there are some more pictures made by other member of the forum including me based on someone's art works that can be found in the web: famous digital artists, CGSociety, Magic The Gathering cards, etc.
I've got complete list of all Hyperion Units if you need one...
Maybe even more...let's see how it goes...
Some works we do together with my little bro, both unfinished:
Talking about dragons...

Re: EFS Movie at beginning of the Game
Please let me apologize for not responding right away I was a bit too pre-occupied with work for the last couple of days.
The warrior is obviously unfinished but I'm sure it will look great when completed!
I went to your VAU web site again and kept finding many excellant links for EFS that I was not aware existed, thanks again for all the effort you put into your webpage! Artwork that depicts the VAU is very scarce on the internet I wondered that I did not find some small art gallery on your sight with the collected images of the Vau on it? Any plans in this regard?
Come to think of it there is no one all inclusive website (that I could find anyway) that collects all the EFS artwork thats out there to one place either. Ah well wishful thinking.
I have finally finished the first ship in the EFS Game Universe (the Cadiz Class Space Dreadnaught)and I will as time permits draw a variant for each of the Major Houses and then move onto the rest of the ships in the fleet down to the landers. Anyone is free to use this image as long as they credit John Bridges of "Holistic" for it's design and me J.V.Reed II for the illustration. May I present the ISD MAJESTIC-0174 of House Hawkwood!

Thank you, you are too kind. I did have a photographic referrance so don't give me to much credit as I didn't really make anything up from scratch here except the outfit and background.hehe, nice pics, very nice..., my compliments too [Smile] I always had problems with people faces, you seems don't have any...
WOW! It would be an honour but I must decline at this time as I am currently engaged in very time consuming projects for my company as well as personal time dedicated to another gaming system (Battlefleet Gothic). I will still turn out a ship or two now and then as I truely enjoy drawing the ships from the EFS game, maybe they could be used for Hyperion in some way?Anyways... the work I was talking about is Hyperion Unit pictures... if you had some time for it you also could make few. The scale work on the dragon about the neck is awesome and a very good take on these creatures. Some works we do together with my little bro, both unfinished:Talking about dragons...

Enemies strengthen you.
Allies weaken.
I tell you this in the hope that it will help you understand why I act as I do in full knowledge that great forces accumulate in my Empire but with one wish--the wish to destroy me.
