Ministries... :(

It seems I have promised away all my ministries (and just to fully embarass myself, two to the same House- not mine). How do I remedy this situation? Why does the promise continue forever, cant it just be for one election? maybe there is a .Dat file I can edit? Ergggh, I've invested a huge amount of time into this particular game and I'm on the verge of becoming emperor (can consistently choose Regent and/or win elections) but if I become emperor with the current state of things I will have no ministries! If anyone knows how to "unpromise" a ministry either in game or out of, plz post

Give them your votes, for getting the ministery of your choice.
Basically a new regent can give away ministeries, except the promised ones. A promise is valid until a new one is made (at least in this game).

Yeah, i ended up reading many more websites that night... sucks...

They really should be valid for only one turn
